ISO 22301 certification reinforces Ilkari’s Colombia data centre as a benchmark for regional resilience

Choosing a data centre partner is a strategic decision. For procurement teams, operations leads and technology executives, it is also an act of trust; one that becomes significantly easier when that trust is independently verified.

Ilkari’s Colombia data centre has achieved ISO 22301 certification for its Business Continuity Management System. It’s the latest in a framework of internationally recognised standards that together define what enterprise-grade infrastructure looks like in Latin America. And, it sets a benchmark for what the region’s most demanding organisations should expect from a colocation partner.

ISO 22301 does not reward good intentions. It validates that critical services are mapped, recovery objectives are defined and disruption scenarios are actively planned for across the full range of real-world threats: cyber incidents, infrastructure failure, energy disruption, environmental events and health-related crises. Certification is evidence that the planning works — not simply that the planning exists.

Crucially, this is not a framework that sits on a shelf. Continuity plans are tested, exercised and refined on an ongoing basis, so that resilience evolves alongside the infrastructure itself.

ISO 22301 joins Ilkari’s existing certification framework: TIA-942-C Rated 3 for design and constructed facility, ICREA Level IV and DCOS Maturity Level 4. Each standard addresses a different dimension of infrastructure performance. Together, they form an independent, cumulative case for why Ilkari infrastructure performs when it matters most — and why the decision to colocate here is one that holds up to scrutiny at every level of an organisation.
